Interreg Europe second call for proposals


The second  InterreLogo_Interreg_Europeg Europe call for proposals opens on 5 April 2016 and closes on 13 May 2016. The program helps regional and local governments across Europe to develop and deliver better policy. By creating an environment and opportunities for sharing solutions, Interreg Europe aims to ensure that government investment, innovation and implementation efforts all lead to integrated and sustainable impact for people and place.

Three types of beneficiaries: public authorities (local, regional and national), mnaging authorities/intermediate bodies and agencies, research institutes, thematic and non-profit organisations  can benefit of the program .

The aim is to facilitate continuous learning among organisations dealing with regional development policies in Europe in order to improve the way they design and implement their public policies in the following areas:

  1. Research and innovation
  2. SME competitiveness
  3. Low-carbon economy
  4. Environment and resource efficiency

Under the Interreg Europe programme, the eligible project activities are co-financed by the ERDF at a rate of either 75% or 85% depending on the legal status of the project partner. Partners from Norway and Switzerland are not eligible to receive ERDF but can receive co-financing from their respective national funds.
